Wes, the only non-native Montanan at Troutfitters (we don't hold that against him, honestly), grew up in Amarillo, Texas, far from the trout streams of his dreams.

He spent much of his childhood fishing for largemouth bass in farm ponds and area lakes. He also spent time on trout fishing destinations closer to his home like the San Juan in New Mexico among others.

After moving to Bozeman in '02 for "school," Wes has logged well over 80 days a year on our local area waters. Among his favorites and the Gallatin and the Boulder, as well as all over Yellowstone Park.
