Fishing Report: The Stillwater is fishing very much like the Boulder this time of year. You will probably see plenty of reds near the Yellowstone end of the river so be very careful when wading around. If you do find fish on the reds its really considered unfair to fish for these spawning fish. If you want, however, you can take advantage of the food source and either strip streamers or nymph behind the reds to try and catch some fish eating some of the eggs drifting off the reds. Other than that you will find plenty of fish pooled up in some of the nice deep pools with the lower fall flows. Plenty of fish to be caught, and a nice quiet place to spend a warm late fall afternoon.
