Ron grew up in Winchester, Massachusetts and acquired his love for fishing from his dad and older brothers on some of New England's best and most challenging waters. In 1971, after his service in the Air Force, he moved to Bozeman, Montana and has been discovering the areas fantastic lakes, rivers and creeks ever since.

He earned a degree in Fish and Wildlife Biology from Montana State University and then a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Colorado State University. Ron practiced veterinary medicine in Bozeman for 25 years.

Ron has been married to his high school sweetheart, Barbara, for 39 years. They have 3 wonderful children and 8 grandchildren. Ron and Barb enjoy horseback riding and horse camping as well as fishing. Early in the spring they are scouring the hills for shed antlers, and as the snow comes out of the mountains they are heading up to fish the high mountain lakes.

Ron enjoys sharing his knowledge of the area's year round fishing opportunities. Some of his winter favorites are midge fishing on the lower Madison and skiing in to fish Quake Lake.
