Fishing Report:
Water temperatures are hanging around in the high 60's at the dam on the Madison so it's still what we would call fishable, although it's getting up to the point where we stop recommending it in the middle of the day. Fish are still eating attractor dries on occasion with the big chubbies in a size 6 and 8 producing some good fish even amongst the floating drunk cruises. When the water temps get up into the 70's we start to recommend an early only policy as the rivers become their warmest right at the end of the day when everyone thinks they are cooling down, such is not the case. Fly wise right now crayfish and small nymphs have been good through the normal stretch and down low is really starting to slow down now so up in Beartrap has definitely been best with lightning bugs and crawdads.
