Fishing Report:
I should just call this "Shane's Jefferson Update," seriously that guys a fishing machine over here. Fishing has been good on the Jeff, probably just as smart to wade this at this point than float it as flows drop and take outs are tough and few and far between. It's been great nymph fishing on lightning bugs, micro mayflies, and your assorted smaller mayfly nymphs. Other's have had luck on JJ's and crayfish and sculpins in the mornings getting some bigger fish - Brett and some clients of his have been fishing it up high and that's been good as well. Dry fly fishing in the evenings has been decent if you can tolerate the mosquitoes... Good fishery, used to be right up there with the Madison and Yellowstone and Gallatin, hopefully a good water year will help keep these fish healthy, lord knows they could use a lot less pressure and a lot more water!
