Gary Behrent is a fifth generation Montanan and comes from a long line of fly fishermen.

Gary began fly fishing at the age of seven when his father, himself a skilled angler, gave Gary his first fly rod. From there Gary built his first fly rod at the age of 11 and began tying flies shortly thereafter.

His summers were spent on the creek behind his home as well as many of Montana's rivers, ponds and lakes, chasing wild trout. His passion for the sport of fly fishing wound its way into a dream of guiding as kid. Gary's dream has taken him to Alaska and all over Montana allowing him to share his passion for fishing with other people.

Although Gary greatly values catching fish, he believes there is more to a great day on the water: learning new skills and exploring the vast number of ways to catch fish, sharing great times and stories with friends and loved ones and experiencing all the majestic beauty that Montana has to offer.
