It's Here... So Call & Set Up a Trip Today!
Rivers - Upper and Lower Madison
Yellowstone
Unfortunately this is coming way up and isn't fishable anymore.
Got in the last day on Thursday... It's fun watching the CFS spike
though.
Lower Madison
The caddis on Saturday were so thick that you could hardly
breathe. The best dry fly fishing is in the evening from around 6:30
till dark. Cherry Creek is fairly muddy, so above Cherry will more than
likely have better dry fly fishing, but substantially more people...
Pick your pods and work them hard, lots of first drift refusals
because of all of the bugs on the water.
Upper Madison
The Upper Madison is starting to see some caddis around Ennis and
on up to Varney. Caddis aren't as thick as down on the Lower, but
around 7:30 they are popping and fish are up on them all over. So this
should only get better into the week. I may try and float this
sometime next week, will update if I do.
