Fishing Report:
Salmonflies have moved their way up around Reynolds and above so it's foot fishing only at this point for the big dries - make that salmonfly dries anyways... The behind the hatch fishing I would say has been better, but I'm biased because I prefer to fish this river from a boat. Cameron Flats is sucking its proverbial wind again, lots of boulder dodging now, but the fish are getting pounded so look for the pockets in front of and behind boulders and along the edges in the drop offs. Lyons down to Mac is seeing some decent attractor fishing with PMX's and Twisted Babies. Shaping up to be a hell of a summer up here on this river, looking forward hoppers in August and early September should be fantastic, and early morning streamer chucking is always a blast I think. A dry and dropper rig is the way to go, with a big golden stone or attractor out front and a beadhead off the back. There are PMD's, Caddis, Sallies, Goldens, and Salmonflies, so grab your attractors or if your a technical fisherman, your favorite representation of the above and have at itWe recommend getting on the water early to avoid the weekend crowds.
