Fishing Report:
It has sounded a bit too good to be true - tremendous dry fly fishing, the best in decades, epic, blah blah blah... Right??? Well it's all true! The dry fly fishing has kicked into gear on the Mo. There are all kinds of hatches to play with: PMDs, Caddis, Brown Drakes, and the Tricos are just starting to appear. Good dry fly fishing can be had throughout the day, with good nymph and streamer fishing early and late. Guys have been fishing this thing from the dam all the way down to Cascade and below. The river is in prime shape, flows have dropped, bugs are cooming off all over the place, and it's a literal dry fly mecca over here right now. Flows are down to wadeable levels finally, so even if you don't have a boat, don't fret. And there are even reports of some early terrestrial fishing getting going down low on the river with some ants and hoppers... welcome to a high water year folks! Oh yeah, and you can of course go with the usual suspects and slam fish on nymphs too...
