Thursday Nights @ Troutfitters
Suds, Bugs & BS

Suds, Bugs & BSIf you haven't made it down for a Thursday night at Troutfitters you've been missing out! We've been going since the 15th of November and we've had a great group of guys each and every night, watched some Trout Bum Diaries I & II and tied up some pretty spectacular flies.

All you need to do is bring a vise and some materials, and if you forget something we have plenty on our wall, and the BS is in no short supply. It's a fun relaxed atmosphere where guys can learn techniques and patterns from their fellow fishermen.

It's every Thursday evening at Montana Troutfitters all winter long from 6pm till I have to close the doors. So stop down some Thursday night and tie a few bugs!
Your Winter Fishing Update
It's Never Too Cold for Fishing...

Winter FishingSo despite some cold days, we have had some great fishing weather over the past few weeks here. With temps just above freezing it makes for a more pleasant experience when you're out.

I've made it out twice in the past week to Nelson's and the East Gallatin and the fishing was good. Fish seem to be eating midge larvae pretty well and they have been plenty cooperative. Reports from friends and customers have been good as well, so if you haven't had a chance, get out there!

The more popular spots have been the Lower Madison below the dam in Beartrap, the Gallatin and East Gallatin, the Spring Creeks and of course the ever popular and productive Missouri and Bighorn. For a change check out the Ruby or Poindexter Slough just outside of Dillon. Both are excellent winter fisheries. For these and other more in depth reports check out the full slate at

Dan Bailey's New Lightweight Waders for '08

New for '08Tired of overpriced waders that leak out of the box and don't hold up through a season? Tired of poor customer service? Then buy your next pair of waders here at Montana Troutfitters and make it the NEW Dan Bailey's Lightweights. I haven't been excited about a pair of waders in a long while (ahem $700 waders are ridiculous not exciting...) but these are a great value and a great wader!

Bailey's is synonymous with quality and constructs their waders for the river, not the showroom floor like some companies. They have now introduced the best wader for under $200 with the '08 Lightweights.

New features include a double layer on the lower leg for added durability, the same pocket system as their Yellowstone Guide Waders, and my favorite, fleece lined hand warmer pockets for those of us who fish when it's cold out! And of course, the outstanding dealer support that allows us to deliver you the best customer service when it comes to dealing with your waders!

Plus pre-order through us and we'll waive the shipping. These babies are going to be in high demand, and they won't be available until some time in February, so order your's today and we can guarantee them in time for your spring fishing this year.

Our Price: $199.95

S & H: Free with a pre-order through the end of February

We appreciate you tuning us in throughout 2007 and look forward to bringing you fresh up to date fishing reports and the best customer service in the greater Bozeman fishing area in 2008!

Sincerely,

Kris Kumlien
